Sketch for a watercolour. The watercolour happened many times over but none of it was any good. The sketch was allright though! So here it is.

Long break…

December 5, 2018

I basically forgot this blog existed. For a good few years. But I’m back, and there’s not been much painting going on while I’ve been away but I do occasionally pull out a sketchbook still so I’ll post a few bits from the past months, and the plan is I’m getting back into drawing more regularly, and experimenting with new mediums. So maybe there will be content! Or not. We shall have to see how long my resolve lasts.

The one below is a picture with my phone with flash, unedited… so not ideal but another part of the hiatus is I have basically no editing software on my current laptop, or editing skills leftover, so here we are for now…!

Relatively new creation, 100x100cm canvas, acrylic.

Commissioned painting transported to London just two nights ago. 40×40″ canvas, acrylic & tempera paint. I’d do more work on it if I had the time. But I had a deadline for this, and some disruptions. But it’s not a proper commission, I’m leasing it until the ‘owner’ moves out of the UK. So maybe in a year or two I can do more work on it.

I corrected the spelling mistake but it looked worse. I will re-do this one at some point.

Acrylic & tempera on large format canvas, an estimated 30×40″ (80x100cm). Started at some point in January, only finished yesterday. It shouldn’t have taken that long but somehow it did. This is a photograph taken in front of my house so again the quality isn’t amazing.

Instead of a model, Marcin Twardowski’s photograph:

The halo is gold but it doesn’t show on the scan, it’s a shame.
